About YLE exams
YLE (Young Learners English) exams are built like a game — colourful, friendly and pressure-free. Each level tests the four skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) through age-appropriate activities: picture completion, picture stories and guided conversation.
The three Cambridge Young Learners levels:
- Starters — first steps in English (recommended from age 7)
- Movers — intermediate level (around A1)
- Flyers — the most advanced YLE level (roughly equivalent to A2)
What do children receive?
All participants receive an official Cambridge certificate with "shields" for each component, regardless of score. There is no "pass" or "fail" at YLE — every participation is a success and a first valuable encounter with international assessment.
